Over the last decade, CAT6 and CAT6A cables and connectors have become an indispensable means of data transmission. Many Data centres, Hospitals and Universities have adopted CAT6A as a new minimum requirement and CAT6 is also beginning to replace CAT5E in residential environments. Speed of deployment, reducing labour costs and improving network reliability are areas that concern most network operators.

The Warren & Brown Technologies (WBT) CAT6 and CAT6A pre-terminated copper bundles represent a new level of convenience and flexibility for cabling system design, ordering and installation. Whilst manual field terminations, troubleshooting and error corrections can extend deployment times, increase downtime and incur in higher installation costs, the copper bundle pre-terms are supplied already tested and ready to be installed.

The pre-term cables are made to your exact specifications, so there will be no unused cables left to be stored. No cable waste, faster turnaround and no terminating on site which means less money spent on storage, labour and equipment.

 

Flexibility, efficiency and reliability

The WBT pre-terminated copper bundles offer rapid deployment coupled with guaranteed CAT6 or CAT6A performance. The pre-term copper bundles can be supplied in any length up to 90m and both ends have an installed CAT6A modular jack (UTP) – The cable bundle is held together with Velcro wraps at metre intervals and is generally supplied with 6 cables & installed jacks in a bundle. Each end of the pre-terms can be easily installed into an unloaded 19” rack mount patch panel, floor distributor or wall outlet.

Less labour intensive

CAT6 and CAT6A pre-terminated copper bundles require less work on site as no technical skills are needed when installing and connecting the cabling infrastructure. Therefore, this solution eliminates the need for technicians to be on site terminating cable, since the pre-term cables can be easily installed by routing and then loading the pre-terms directly into a patch panel.

Cable Specifications:

Category 6A Unshielded Twisted Pair (U/UTP) cables are produced using a 4 x 2 x 23 AWG copper wire structure to a class EA standard, and supports protocols up to 500MHz. It is ideal for horizontal and backbone installations.
