In this blog article, we are looking at how to overcome a sticking release valve in the Universal Pressure Gauge (used for pressure testing Openable Joints (OJ’s) ). (P/N: 51300224 & Part of kit: 40003069)
An issue that can sometimes arise with the Universal Pressure Gauge if the valve is engaged incorrectly, is a sticky release valve giving misleading readings.
This problem can be resolved in a few simple steps:
1. Pull the ring on the release valve.
2. While holding the ring on the release valve, push it towards the manifold and turn the ring left or right until you feel the release valve sit into the manifold.
