The Capacity Enhancement Unit (CEU) is supplied as a fully assembled unit and provides up to 600 additional pairs, 200 main and 400 distribution giving a total CCU capacity of 1200 pairs. The CEU requires the installation of a pillar extension shaft to be correctly mounted and secured to provide the earthing required for correct operation of the overvoltage protection devices.
Overvoltage protection may be provided on this unit for the 200 main pairs.
Note: Where the pillar has been fitted with the Krone IDS termination system, installation of the 3M Krone Adapter Kit (S430/00141) is
required prior to the installation of the CEU.
