This Choke is inserted into a Customers telephone line, to stop noise generated in the Internal Plant area from disturbing the Customer when using a telephone. The Choke is protected against the effects of lightning energy. As the choke is a coil of insulated wire, it generates an impedance against the passing of high frequency noise and lightning energy, but allows VF speech to pass to line. This item is mainly used in Rural areas.
