This 2RU, LH pivot open Splice/Patch Subrack accommodates 72 singlemode optical fibres. It features optical fibre cord management, that maintains the MBR at 30 mm radius throughout. This subrack mid or rear mounts in a 19 inch rack. At the rear of the swing out tray, an assembly of six, individually accessible, splice trays are provided (Part No: TC251S-6AX). Each tray holds 12 fusion splices, and is fitted with two splice protector holder clips (Part No: TC250S-10). Situated along the swing out tray are: 3 angled position patch panels, for 24 - simplex singlemode A/SC through adaptors. At the LHS swing out tray entry, a radius guide and two curved guides are provided to guarantee the MBR for optical fibre cord and loose tubes on entry and exit. Optical fibre cable is fed to the trays RHS entry securing point, through 16mm dia convoluted tube, then protection/loose tubes are fed around the rear of the body, through hook and loop ties, under a guiding/protection plate, to pass around the LHS guiding cylinder to the splice trays. The protection/loose tubes are secured in two places to the entry cylinder, to generate a large, smooth, entry curve to the splice trays. Along the front face of the swing out tray, tie-off slots are provided for optical fibre cords. At the front of the swing out tray is a label showing patch panel layout. The swing out tray has a non-continuous front edge, that allows for connector testing using probe type instruments. The leaving optical fibre cord/s are run directly into the LHS of the HDODF. This 72 fibre, splice/patch subrack is typically used to augment Optical Fibre Distribution Frames.
