This white plastic identification tag is used to provide a permanent record of the designation of individual optical fibre cables. It is used in the manholes and pits along the cable routes in the external/outdoor/field environment. The information is written on the identification tag using a permanent, indelible black marker pen.
The marker tag is positioned in a prominent location in the manhole or pit, and allows for subsequent easy cable identification for fault finding or cut-over purposes.
