This 2 non-metallic, unfilled, tight buffered, SMOF (i.e. G652D), external type cable, with a polyethylene sheath and outer nylon jacket, FRP strength member and plastic fillers, is used to connect remote telecommunication housings ( e.g. RIM) to an optical fibre cable from an Exchange. The cable is Ø12mm, has a tensile strength of 800 N, and an allowable MBR of 10 x “d”, where “d” is the diameter of the cables. Supplied length is “L” m. One end is fitted with A/SC Grade “A” connectors, on a 1m breakout length of cord.
