This 2RU, RH pivot open Splice/Patch Drawer accommodates 96 optical fibres. It features optical fibre cord management that maintains the MBR at 30 mm radius throughout. At the rear of the drawer, an assembly of four, individually accessible, plastic splice trays are provided. Each tray holds 24 fusion splices. Each splice tray has 2 x 12 fibre single splice protector holder clips. Situated along the drawer are: 4 angled position patch panels, for 24 – simplex, SC UPC through adaptors that are supplied.
SC UPC pigtails are also supplied. A radius guide and two curved guides are provided at the RHS drawer entry to guarantee the MBR for optical fibre cord and loose tubes on entry and exit. Loose tubes are fed through guiding tubes to the trays RHS entry securing point, then onto the splice trays. Along the front face of the drawer, tie-off slots are provided for optical fibres cords. At the front of the Drawer a catch secured, hinged, record card system is provided. The entering and leaving optical fibre cord/s are either run straight into the RHS of the rack or around the rear of the body of the drawer to the LHS of the FTF. This 96 fibre, splice/patch drawer is typically used in Fibre Termination Frames. The drawer can be set up for either LH or RH pivot opening.

are provided on each splice tray. The splice trays have hinges set at the side to form a stack and a lid.
Loose tubes are fed through guiding transport tubes to the trays' RHS entry tie-off point, then onto the splice trays

Supplied with simplex SC UPC through adaptors and pigtails
The through connectors (or adaptors) have a ceramic, zirconia ferrule. Plug-pull life > 500 times. Insertion loss ≤ 0.2dB. All-dielectric construction and comes with dust covers.
Pigtails with SC UPC connectors are supplied 1.5 metres long, and 0.9mm diameter. The cord has the following features: 12 colours; meet EIA/TIA-598; 9 um core dia; 125 um cladding dia; and a 900 um tight buffered LSZH outer sheath. The SMOF meets G652D specifications. The cord has physical properties of minimal tensile strength; an MBR of 30mm; the ability to withstand a small crushing load; and the ability to withstand a small impact load. Connector insertion loss ≤ 0.2dB and return loss ≥ 55 dB.
Heat shrink splice protectors 3mm dia x 40mm long are provided (other lengths also available). Each sleeve has a stainless-steel strength member and is installed in 90 seconds.
Operation temperature range of -20 degrees to + 70 degrees Celsius and up to 95% of RH.
