Fibre termination frame (FTF)

This Fibre Termination Frame (FTF) accepts up to 20 x 2RU Splice/Patch Drawers, each accepting 48, 72 or 96 terminated optical fibres. This gives the FTF a terminating capacity of up to 1920 optical fibres.

Each 2RU Splice/Patch Drawer has a stack of 4 or 6 individually accessible, hinged splice trays (Part No: TC251S-4AX; TC1279-6AX), each tray holding 12 or 24 fusion splices. A 48, 72 or 96 capacity Patch Panel for SC or LC connectors is also provided on each Drawer. A guiding cylinder guarantees the MBR 30mm of leaving patch cords at the drawers pivot, optical fibre cord exit area.

The FTF can be supplied as a 600mm x 300mm x 2.2 metre high rack or only with an LHS cable module or an optical fibre cord storage unit or with both LHS cable modules and RHS optical fibre cords storage units. The LHS cable module and RHS optical fibre cord storage units are either: 150mm (W) x 300mm (D) x 2.2 metres (H) or 300mm (W) x 300mm (D) x 2.2 M (H). They bolt to the central rack unit.

In the optical fibre cord storage module, excess cord length can be neatly wound around a series of cylindrical guides, to safely house and store excess fibre cord length; maintain the MBR 30mm everywhere, before the fibre cord leaves the FTF for connection to the Transmission Equipment

Attractive, see-through, acrylic style doors set are available for a TC4046B style FTF/Rack The doors are lockable and provide a degree of security and dust protection for optic fibre termination items inside.

Optional ducting systems 100mm x 100mm at the topand in the bottom of the FTF are available, allowing interconnection between adjacent FTFs. Ducting components are manufactured from Noryl, a very strong plastic, which is self-extinguishing and halogen-free (certified to UL94VO specification)
