The single sided Optical Suite Frame (OSF) is generally located at the end of a row of similarly sized optical equipment racks. It houses up to 6 x 72 fibre 2RU capacity splice & patch subracks, that feed long length patch cords to the transmission equipment racks, using the overhead ducting system.
